The NYC DOB requires Temporary Place of Assembly (TPA) permits for events where...
- 75 or more people will be in an indoor space or
- 200 or more are gathered in a confined outdoor space, for a common purpose or;
- when the expected attendance exceeds the approved occupancy for an existing Public Assembly space
Being that Place of Assembly (PA) and Temporary Place of Assembly (TPA) applications are now required to be submitted in DOB NOW: Build, we recommend TPA filings be submitted no later than 20 business days prior to the event and engaging us to file your permit about a month out.
**Please note: all design professionals need to be registered through e-Filing in order to prevent TPA issuance delays. Register for eFiling as soon as possible.
