Are you prepared to meet compliance with Local Law 126? If you are overwhelmed and not sure where to start, don't stress!
With Local Law 126 officially in place, owners of parking structures are now required to have their structures inspected every six years and submit a report with the inspection results to the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB).
The DOB has recently mandated that all parking structures in sub-cycles 1B & 1C complete a one-time initial observation by August 1, 2024. These observations must be conducted by a Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI), and the corresponding form must be filed with the DOB by the deadline.
To help you prepare and better understand what you need to do to prepare for your parking structure inspection, we have created a downloadable resource for you to reference for the inspection windows and fines associated with Local Law 126.
This resource breaks down the inspection windows and how to identify your community district as well as an outline of the fines associated with missing your inspection window.
Please fill out the form to download the guide and reach out to Stacy Hager with any Local Law 126 Parking Structure Inspection requirements questions you may have.
