As part of Milrose's Year of Philanthropy and our ongoing efforts to help those in need and support our communities, Milrose joined over 2,500 volunteers in revitalizing 36 public schools across the five boroughs for the 27th Annual New York Cares Day for Schools.
On Saturday, October 20th, 2018, thousands of New York Cares volunteers painted, organized, gardened, and completed other tasks to help make a safer, cleaner, and more organized learning environment where NYC students can learn and grow. Milrose's 14-person volunteer team traveled to the PS 92 K - Adrian Hegeman school in Brooklyn where they dedicated their time and talent to painting 30 beautiful canvases to help brighten up the school's hallways and classrooms.
The paintings also serve to provide a source of inspiration to the students of PS 92 K as many of them featured empowering positive messages and portraits of important female leaders throughout history. For example, in the photo below, Team Leader Mindy Zayas works on a colorful painting of Marie Curie.
