Since 2002, Milrose Consultants has proudly participated in New York Cares Day. This fall, Milrose employees joined 4,000 volunteers in revitalizing 68 public schools across the five boroughs.
On Saturday, October 17, a record-breaking 19 Milrose employees volunteered at Redwood Middle School of District 28 in Queens, N.Y.
Only in its second year of operation, the middle school rents a floor of a building that they share with two other public schools. The school principal, Lisa Reiter, explained that their shared space often causes students to feel like visitors in their own building.
Milrose employees successfully gave the students of RMS a building to call their own by livening up the hallways with school-spirited signs, organizing a supply closet, and assisting in creating a beautiful redwood forest mural.
