Excavation is officially underway for the highly-anticipated supertall tower known as One Vanderbilt. At roughly 1.8 million square feet and 67 stories tall, One Vanderbilt was the largest development filed in 2015 and will be the second-tallest office building in NYC when it is completed in 2021. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by SL Green in collaboration with Hines, the skyscraper will tower over Grand Central and transform the New York City skyline.

Additionally, the project will mark the beginning of a new era for Midtown East. As the first new skyscraper in Midtown East area, it will inspire developers to build taller buildings and breathe new life into the aging office area
