Milrose in the Community: CHCF ‘A Slice of Latin America’

The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF) hosted its 16th Annual Gala, ‘A Slice of Latin America’ on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Capitale on 130 Bowery. The event was another huge success for the non-profit organization whose mission serves to expand opportunities for children and families in the Latino community. Milrose Consultants was proud to support the event and Milrose Vice President and CHCF Board Chair, Gus Mazza.

The event featured top chefs from reputable establishments, including Barcelona Bites, The Black Ant, Warique, Zengo, among others. Besides its delicious food offerings, the evening also celebrated latin music and  theater, and provided attendees with the chance to network with people from a wide range of industries including architecture, banking, real estate, media, and marketing.   Special guests who came out to support the Latino community included Senator Chuck Schumer, Mayor Bill de Blasio, and NYC Comptroller, Scott Stringer.

Funds raised at the 2016 Annual Gala went towards fostering the Latino community’s existing strength through Youth Development programs, the Early Care and Education Institute, policy and advocacy initiatives. While the event is over, you can still lend your support to the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families by making a tax-deductible donation here.
